Signing in with Twitch

When you sign in with Twitch, the authentication process requests access to your Twitch account identity and profile information, including the email address associated with your Twitch account. Sign-in is handled through Twitch and Supabase.

We primarily use your account identifier, provider, display name or other profile name, and avatar for login, profile display, associating games with your account, game statistics, and leaderboard functionality. Requesting email access does not mean that your email address is displayed publicly on the website.

Account and game information

Supabase stores account-linked profiles, preferences, game statistics, virtual coin or wallet information, and supported game persistence. Depending on the game, signed-in play may save:

• Scores, distances, rounds, game results, and game statistics.
• Virtual coin balances and virtual coin transactions.
• Game progress and information used to recover an interrupted game.

This information supports gameplay, progress recovery, statistics, virtual rewards, leaderboards, and account features. Each game uses the categories relevant to its features; not every game saves every category.

Public leaderboards

Some games may display the display name, avatar, and game statistics of signed-in eligible players on public leaderboards. Other visitors can view this information.

Browser storage and cookies

The website uses browser storage, including localStorage, for authentication and session persistence, theme, sound and music preferences, Cannon environment and Day/Night preferences, local game history, and supported game save or recovery information.

Browser storage is not the same as cookies. The site's own code does not currently explicitly create cookies for advertising or visitor tracking. Third-party providers may use their own cookies or other storage according to their policies.

Analytics, advertising, and sale of information

The Z Word Show does not currently use site-owned advertising pixels, behavioral-advertising trackers, visitor analytics such as Google Analytics, or session-replay systems. The site's Anal-ytics feature presents show and game statistics; it is not a visitor-tracking service.

The Z Word Show does not sell personal information or use personal information for targeted advertising or cross-site profiling. Third-party services may perform their own measurement or advertising activities as described in their policies.

Services that help run the website

The website uses external services for specific features:

• Supabase and Twitch: authentication, account identity, and account or game data services.
• Vercel: website hosting and server functions.
• YouTube and Google-hosted services: episode thumbnails and playback, and services supporting show data. Google Fonts supplies fonts on pages that use it.
• jsDelivr and avatar or image hosts: delivery of software libraries, profile images, and other externally hosted assets.
• Resend and email providers: delivery and handling of Contact Zac messages.

When your browser connects to an external service, that service receives request information such as your IP address and browser information. Providers may process operational or security logs and other information under their own policies. Which services are contacted depends on the page and features you use.

YouTube thumbnails and playback

The latest-episode area may retrieve the episode's thumbnail directly from YouTube's image host before playback. The interactive YouTube player loads when you choose Play. It uses YouTube's privacy-enhanced embedding mode.

When you choose to play a video, your browser connects to YouTube and Google, which may use cookies, storage, measurement, or advertising technologies according to their policies. This feature uses YouTube API Services and is subject to the YouTube Terms of Service and Google Privacy Policy.

Contact Zac messages

Contact Zac collects your name, email address, and message so we can receive and respond to you. Messages are delivered using Resend and email providers. The contact form does not save messages to Supabase.

How long information is kept

Account and game information is retained as needed for account features, games, statistics, leaderboards, virtual coin and transaction integrity, progress recovery, and security or operational purposes. There is no single fixed retention period covering all of this information.

Contact messages may remain in email systems used to handle and respond to requests. Local browser preferences and game information may remain until you change them, the site clears them where applicable, or you clear them through browser controls.

Your choices and privacy requests

You can sign out and use your browser controls to clear local site data. Clearing browser data can remove saved preferences or local game progress and sign you out; it does not itself delete account information stored on our servers.

For privacy questions or account-data requests, use Contact Zac on the homepage. There is currently no automated account-deletion interface. Requests may require confirmation of account ownership. Some information may need to be retained for security, transaction integrity, recordkeeping, or other legitimate operational purposes.

Information relating to children

The website does not collect birthdates or provide a child-specific account system or parental-consent mechanism. If you believe information relating to a child has been provided inappropriately, please contact us through Contact Zac so we can review the concern.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as website features, games, providers, or privacy practices change. The Last Updated date at the top identifies the latest revision.
